What AdaptX is doing is unbelievable. They are pioneering the idea that athletes of all abilities can seamlessly coexist in a traditional fitness center.

- Dick Hoyt

    • AdaptX is the Intersection of Literature and Practical Experience

The course is created and taught by someone with practical experience training hundreds of individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and building an inclusive fitness business from scratch that has generated over a million dollars in revenue. The Rick Hoyt Research Lab and our continuously evolving curriculum allows us to fill in the gaps in the literature as well as update the content to match the most recent research.

    • Mission-Driven, not Revenue-Driven

AdaptX is a non-profit organization dedicated to making fitness accessible. The revenue model doesn’t rely on creating a recurring revenue stream through re-certification processes and CEU requirements.

  • Our curriculum is online and self-paced to allow us to reach a wider audience. We are working on adding more in-person learning opportunities but at the moment, observation is always welcome at our headquarters in Lancaster, MA, where we have dozens of individuals with disabilities train throughout the week.

  • The AdaptX course is not a replacement for a university degree or a personal trainer license from a governing organization. As an independent trainer you would be required to carry your own liability insurance. As an employee or contractor of a commercial company, they would have their own unique set of requirements. AdaptX, 501(c)3, is not liable for the safety of the clients trained by professionals who have completed the course.

    • You will have the opportunity to attend monthly guest presentations from industry experts on supplementary topics and book free consultations during our weekly Office Hours.

    • You’ll be able to observe inclusive strength and conditioning sessions at Unified Health and Performance and attend AdaptX conferences

    • You’ll be able to join a Facebook Group to converse with other AdaptX professionals

    • You’ll be listed on our ‘Find a Coach’ database to connect you with adaptive athletes

  • The course is approved for CEUs through ACE, NASM, NSCA, and REPs New Zealand.

  • Find a Coach Database where prospective clients can find a coach by zip code

The AdaptX Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance for adaptive athletes to train with AdaptX-certified coaches so you don’t have to compromise on your price point and athletes can receive high quality training
