Evan Schwerbrock
Evan Schwerbrock developed Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy shortly after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. Within two weeks, he had massively impaired sight, could no longer drive and had to figure out how to adapt to the gym and life with the new circumstances. After receiving his Masters Degree in Kinesiology, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification and more, Evan became a professor, rehab specialist and personal trainer.
In 2020, he founded Cane and Able Fitness, a resource providing applicable and accessible health information to those with blindness. Evan has helped people all over the world to problem solve and overcome the issues that come with low vision to live healthier, happier lives.
Evan also competes in strongman, using the same principles he teaches to still achieve things in a competitive setting. He recently won the strongman competition, America's Strongest Athlete with Disabilities.
