Steve Sinko is an accomplished running coach and cer5fied personal trainer from Hockessin, DE. For over 20 years he has been helping people reach their running and fitness goals. A lifelong runner, Steve has had success at the high school, collegiate and post collegiate levels. He was a multiple time state champion competing for St. Mark’s high school, was both all conference and all region while racing for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and the University of Delaware. He is currently the third fastest marathoner in Delaware state history and has qualified for the Boston Marathon 8 times, twice as a duo team with his running partner, Preston Buenaga. The duo successfully completed Boston in 2021.

Steve currently coaches at Newark Charter High School in Newark, DE. He is the boys and girls head cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field coach. In 2016 he was named the DIAA Delaware Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year. In 2023 Newark Charter named their new track and field facility after their longtime coach. Steve also works as a personal running coach to athletes of all abilites. He has helped numerous athletes achieve new personal records times as well as qualify for the Boston Marathon and Kona Ironman World Championships.

Steve also serves as the president of Move 2 IncluDE, a Delaware based nonprofit whose focus is on helping people move and be a part of the community despite their mobility issues. Using adaptive running chairs Steve and Move 2 IncluDE give athletes the opportunity to cross finish lines together.
