Unified Run and Roll Club

An initiative of theUnified 5K and AdaptXpo

Join the Club

The Unified Run and Roll Club is an inclusive training group that meets weekly for athletes with and without disability to increase physical activity levels and improve performance. Our goal is to create a training experience that accommodates all abilities while being appropriately challenging for every fitness level.

Kate, in a cap and rain jacket, running beside Lavender in the rain. A short yellow guide tether runs between their hands and both are laughing.

“After sustaining a foot injury that limits my mobility, I thought what I’d miss most about running was chasing a PR. Having the opportunity to train with and guide Lavender to her first 5k was a magical “right place/right time” moment I didn’t know I needed.

“Through this experience, I was able to witness the joy of someone else’s first 5K and I’m hooked on this infectious feeling.”

What Is Next

Piloted in Massachusetts. Going Further in 2027.

  • The pilot

We piloted the first Unified Run and Roll Club in Massachusetts to find out what an inclusive group run looks like.

  • Massachusetts, 2027

We will run our Unified Run and Roll Club in Massachusetts year round in 2027.

  • Expansion

In 2027 we want these clubs in more of our Unified 5K communities and beyond.

Start One in Your Community

If you want an inclusive running club where you live, we would rather help you build one than wait until we get there ourselves. Tell us where you are and what you have to work with, and we will go from there.
